The city of contrasts and omnipresent history

Decorated churches, stately buildings, ancient temples or hypermodern shopping centres – that is the breath-taking capital city of the Russian Federation, a place of many extremes which will keep amazing you.

Set out for a sightseeing tour of Russian architecture and visit the colourful Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed which is part of the world’s cultural heritage. The centre of both the city and the whole of Russia is considered to be Red Square, the main square in Moscow. You can find the greatest concentration of Russian history in the Kremlin itself, which is not only the presidential seat, but also a fortress, the churches and palaces of which breathe the history of the whole of Russia. Moscow also has many examples of modern architecture, including buildings such as the Stalin skyscrapers or the tallest TV tower in Europe and Asia.

Lovers of museums, theatres and literature will also enjoy this city. Take an enjoyable literary tour of the city – Pushkin House, A. P. Chekhov House, the Museum of Mayakovski, the avant-gardist, or the homestead of Lev Tolstoy. Visit the Bolshoi Theatre where Swan Lake and The Nutcracker premiered.

After a busy day you can have a rest in one of the many parks and gardens or try the local cuisine.
