The symbol of tolerance and freedom

Historical sights, the cradle of the American nation, cultural, culinary and art treasures. That is Philadelphia, the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution.

The greatest sights of interest you should not miss are the Liberty Bell, with its famous crack, a symbol of liberty not only in Philadelphia, but also in the whole of America, then the Independence Hall, where the USA were born and the Declaration of Independence adopted, and the Rocky Steps, America’s most famous steps which appeared in the film Rocky and from which the city centre can be viewed nicely. It is also worth seeing the famous Benjamin Franklin Bridge, built in the style of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

For history lovers

Museum lovers will also be pleased. Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which houses one of the largest collections of art in the whole of America, or the National Constitution Center, a museum dedicated to the best-known national documents, especially the Declaration of Independence. You can also see 42 bronze statues of the Declaration signatories there.

Later you can have a rest in one of the oldest and largest urban parks in the USA, Fairmount Park. Your city tour will not be complete if you do not try the famous Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, a long, crispy baguette filled with slices of beef and cheese.
